tourThe Physical Fitness in the Golden Age program is located in the Fitness Research Facility (UTEP Ross Moore building). The facility’s primary room is about 2000 sq. ft. with additional rooms for reception, office space, and storage space. The facility is fully equipped to conduct fitness and strength and conditioning programs along with research protocols. There is a variety of equipment steered toward different types of training. Available equipment consists of:

  • Treadmills
  • Elliptical trainers
  • Stationary bicycles (upright and recumbent)
  • Olympic platforms with Olympic bumper sets
  • Life Fitness resistance training machines
  • Multijungle machine with a variety of attachments
  • Troy dumbbell sets (1 lb – 120 lb)
  • Olympic weight bars, squat bars, hex bars, curl bars
  • Adjustable benches and upright seats
  • Medicine balls
  • Swiss Balls
  • Battle ropes
  • TRX suspension trainer
  • Hydrologs and hydroballs

Other amenities in our facility include computerized flat screen TVs and instructional video circuit, changing room with shower, and newly installed refrigerated air-conditioning.
